Do yourself a favour! Tune in to the most eclectic mix of jazz
ever to hit Brisbane, an unforgettable day full of the cool strains
from the best of Australia and overseas.
Be mesmerised by the rhythmic verve of Indian master percussionist
Trilok Gurtu, take a nostalgia trip with jazz legends Don Burrows,
Bob Barnard and Graeme Bell, prepare to be knocked over by the
hard-edged improvisation of the Australian Art Orchestra with
dazzling Danish trumpeter Palle Mikkelborg, mellow out with Shelley
Scown and the Paul Grabowsky Trio, and test the new experimental
sound of Clarion Fraction Zone.
But that's not all! There is also the supreme mastery of Mike
Nock's jazz piano, the formidable technique of Sweden's Guitars
Unlimited, Lewis & Young take you into the mystical ground
between Aboriginal and European cultures, and local talent Good
Bait.
