'Dancing enriched with spirit' TIME OUT, NEW YORK

Les Ballets de Monte-Carlo, one of the world's most prestigious dance companies, has a tradition going back to 1909, when Serge Diaghilev first presented the exciting Ballets Russes in Monte-Carlo. The history of this remarkable company is studded with some of the greatest names in ballet, the legendary Nijinsky and choreographers Michel Fokine and George Balanchine.
Artistic Director and choreographer Jean-Christophe Maillot's new version of the classic Romeo and Juliet, with music by Prokofiev, premiered recently in Monte-Carlo to stunning reviews.

The company will also present a Triple Bill, including the neo-classical Violin Concerto with music by Stravinsky and choreography by Balanchine; Michel Fokine's arousing and sensuous Polovtsian Dances of Prince Igor, with music by Borodin; and the Australian premiere of William Forsythe's Vile Parody of Address.
