When John Heuzenroeder won The City of Melbourne Song Recital Award last year, he so impressed the judges that he was asked to perform at the 1997 Biennial Festival. He has chosen Schubert's Die schöne Müllerin, a cycle of songs written, ironically, during the composer's serious illness in 1823.
