The Biennial comes to a spectacular climax on the final Monday night with pyrotechnics celebrating the beauty and harmony of nature.

The Fire Event, directed by firemaster Neil Cameron, will be a highlight of the annual three-day Solstice Festival, a feisty mid-winter celebration for the whole family, with local, national and international artists performing at one of Brisbane's most beautiful inner-city riverside locations. There's an entire venue for children's activities and entertainment, as well as traditional folk and contemporary music, Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islanders performances, world music and dance, theatre, poetry and workshops in music and craft.

But that's not all. Be continually surprised by street theatre as you've never seen it before - inspired and eccentric, exotic and hilarious, crazy and mesmerising.

Parades, workshops, bonfires, markets, music and dance in five different concert venues, and of course good food and licensed bars. Come and enjoy the mild winter days and clear Brisbane nights at Davies Park and help the Biennial go out with a bang!
