TECH OVER

Welcome to Tech Over, the major technology component of T@ke OveR. The major sponsor of Tech Over is the MFP, with Santos providing the tent, Ngapartji assisting with digital networking through a fast wireless Internet link provided by Internode Professional Access , Microsoft supplying the software for the Web- Deli and Duncan Computers providing the computer for the Multi Media Shows.

Tech Over consists of four major parts.

 

There will be an interactive theatre space run by Flinders University and the Performing Arts Technology Unit, which will stretch the boundaries of the digital media in a series of new performance pieces.

 

There will be a new interactive computer exhibition called POWERPLAY, involving a multitude of creative and imaginative hands on and bodies on computer based exhibits.

Power Play

There will be a Multi Media show presented by The Investigator Science and Technology Centre, where the participants will actually construct their own Multi Media Web Sites.

 

There will be a Web-Deli where participants can surf the internet with expert help and check out the latest software from Microsoft. The Web-Deli will also be used for accessing a virtual Gallery of student art from throughout the state, coordinated by D.E.C.S. and selections of writing as part of the Allwrite literature program.

As well as these four areas there will also be an exhibition called Ozscreen, consisting of two galleries exhibiting works from students throughout the state. One will be a video wall, exhibiting humorous and witty reactions to and views of technology, society, and their combined future. The other will be an interactive digital gallery exhibiting works related to the Australian cultural identity.
